About the Faculty
The Faculty of Informatics was created in 2004 as the first faculty of the Technical Academy of Informatics in Applied Sciences (formerly Wroclaw School of Information Technology WWSIS). Our teaching staff includes prominent scholars of international renown – full professors, assistant professors, and PhDs. Our Dean is Ryszarda Getko, PhD. Our Faculty’s Graduate Studies Program in Informatics and Computer Science was officially accredited by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education on 2 August 2012.
The Computer Science Program currently offers undergraduate studies (Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Science) and graduate studies (Master of Science). Courses are taught either during the week (the so-called stationary or daytime studies) or at weekends (the so-called non-stationary or weekend studies).
The duration of Bachelor of Science studies is:
6 semesters for the stationary (daytime) program,
7 semesters for the non-stationary (weekend) program.
The duration of Bachelor of Engineering studies is:
7 semesters for the stationary (daytime) program,
8 semesters for the non-stationary (weekend) program.
The duration of graduate studies is:
4 semesters for the stationary (daytime) program,
4 semesters for the non-stationary (weekend) program.
